BLOOMS THE WILDERNESS

Sterile
The room that day
Dreadful darkness covered
All the things that you knew
A path
Opened
Before you called “The Wilderness”
Desolation filled you
No one could walk
With you.

Hard rocks
Were your pillow
There were no softened words
Nor warm bed to take your body
So cold
The world
That wrapped its tentacles around
Your captured bleeding soul
But then you found
Honey

Flowers
Bloomed as you walked
Along that lonely path
Such beauty you had never seen
Before
And now
You knew the value of deep pain
That all could be redeemed
And blossomed red
Your joy
