A MIRROR CINQUAIN
Inside
A secret flame
Burns strong even when dark
It lights my path, illuminates,
I walk
In light
Not brilliant but just enough
To keep me holding on
This, my secret
Burn on
A MIRROR CINQUAIN
Inside
A secret flame
Burns strong even when dark
It lights my path, illuminates,
I walk
In light
Not brilliant but just enough
To keep me holding on
This, my secret
Burn on
Sometimes, when we do concrete form of poetry, we are constricted and the sentiment could be compromised. But here, neither the structure nor the thought gets lost. So, brilliantly done! 🙂

Thankyou so much. I have worked hard at this form of poetry, and it seems to suit me. I try to get layers of meaning into it. I like to write in formnrather than free verse, for some reason. Sometimes I do do free verse though. I write Rondeax, Sestinas, Sonnets, Pantoums, and various other forms. I love to experiment. Oh yes, and I love writing vilanelles! Thanks for taking the time to comment. Much appreciated.

Me too. I used to do a lot of different forms, sestina being the toughest I have done. Lately, I’m doing more of free verse though, letting my emotions flow freely, I suppose.
And you’re most welcome.
