Time waits
In the shadows
For the dawning of light
Watching the flickering dancing
Flames of
Pure gold
Sees them approach, knowing that soon
They will envelop dark,
Eternity
Calls us
Time waits
In the shadows
For the dawning of light
Watching the flickering dancing
Flames of
Pure gold
Sees them approach, knowing that soon
They will envelop dark,
Eternity
Calls us
I read this several times, enjoying each read. You speak to my heart with this. Eternity calls, beckons, a constant sound. We oblige blindly and seemingly without choice. Is time an element of eternity, a lackey thereof, a third party foe to challenge en route, or an ally in disguise, unrealized and underutilized as such?

Yes, I mess about with time and eternity quite a lot. I guess it’s because I nearly died once. I am fascinated with thinking about it

Interesting. Have you ever written on this near death experience? I would be curious to read on it if so.

I haven’t really written on this near death experience. It happened when I had cancer. It would have to be written in prose if I did it, I think

Duh. I replied to this, then my reply disappeared, I think. Being blind, I lose things! But yes I like to think a lot about time and eternity and play around with the thoughts.

No I haven’t written on it but it probably would be best written in prose

love the imagery here — time, pure gold, eternity — takes us to a special place of completeness and total fulfilment.Thank You! 🙂
