THE ROWAN TREE IS SAID TO HAVE MYSTICAL POWERS OF HEALING WHICH IS WHY THEY ARE OFTEN PLANTED IN GRAEYARDS OF CHUERCHES
Rowan you stand there to guard
All souls in this old churchyard
Many years have you stood there
Watching all that come for prayer
Souls that went through times so hard
Found solace here though inly scarred
Knowing freedom here from care
Rowan you stand there
Many lives by battles marred
Look up to the sky so starred
In the night when wounds do tear
Open for all to see and stare
Here they come their souls to bare
Rowan you stand there
There is more in this poem than the words in it. Thank you for sharing. Prayers for you my beloved friend. Take care of yourself! You are precious. 🙂

Thankyou so much krishna. Yes, so much behind those words. We are going back, today, to that place. It is about 12 miles away. I was born there. Knew happy times there. Never luved there except as a baby, then we left. But my grandparents had a farm there and I spent many happy hours there as a child and teenager. I always wanted to go back and live there, and we are trying to do so now, but with not much luck yet. Mi was chrustened there, in that church, near to the beautiful rowan tree. I pray that I too can be buried there. Smile
