AT THE EDGE OF LIGHT

Leaves fall at the dying time
Sheaves not long been stooked
Weaves the light through the naked trees
Grieves the child who looked

Playing at the edge of light
Singing unaware of time
Bringing innocence to bear
Tolling bells sound as clocks chime
