Thanks Silk Cords. Hubby fixed it. He’d marked it as Private on Sound Cloud so he altered it to Public. Now it works lol. I shall still post normally on WP but having a hoot doing this Sound Cloud thing. I could get addicted lol. Thanks for the compliment about my voice. I enjoy playing with it ha ha. Wait till you hear my Native American Indian flute with the tap on the bath running in the background for water in nature, and my Native American Indian drum that I got for Christmas. Then you just need to have a pic if me in full Native American Indian regalia and we’re away lol. 😀

Thanks Di. I enjoy it and can get more expression into things. That one doesn’t seem at all the same written down. But I will still write conventionally in here too.

Aww. Thanks so much Stella. Do you mean write my own book and put it into audio or read other ppl’s books in audio? Being blind I could not do the latter, mi do LOVE using my voice x

Thanks so much Stella. Maybe I should just write my own audio book. I think that would be a really good idea. Thankyou so much for putting the idea there Stella. I could be starting a whole new career lol. And why not? Much love to you xo

Lorraine, that was fabulous – a serious subject but injected with humour and irony … and how I love your voice – a perfect narrator’s voice!

Got wi-fi now but my desktop isn’t set up yet so having to use my phone … not easy with fingers like bananas. 😁

  8. Hi Lorraine. I was wondering whether you managed to create the account independently? I ask as, being blind I have had problems in creating an account on Soundcloud. I could ask a sighted friend for help, but would be interested to know whether you had any issues. Best wishes – Kevin

Hi Kevin. Glad you asked. My husband did it for me. I could not have done it myself. But that is because I am so newly blind, I think, that I don’t know what to do. I can tell you what hubby did as he is sitting by me. First of you go to Soundcloud.com. You orobably will know much of this but it will be the actually doing it that will be difficult. You then have to select a Plan, meaning Free Plan for thirty days, or Soundpro+. That is either an annual £90 or £10 a month. You then create an account with your email and password for Soundcloud. Sadly, you then get a series of pictures for Capcha. To show you are not a robot. You then select a screen name. Mine is my actual name – Lorraine Lewis. It then just creates the account. I can’t manage to post myself though. Hubby does it for me once I have mad the recording on my vouce recorder app. There seems to be an alternative to create the account from Facebook or Google which might eliminate capcha. I don’t know if that helps any. I wish I could help more. I couldn’t do a lot of things without hubby. Best of luck Kevin. Let me know how you get on. You can email me if you like. I think we have emailed each other before. Good luck 😊

  10. Many thanks Lorraine to both you and your husband for this helpful explanation. Indeed we have emailed before and I will certainly let you know how I get on with creating the account. I currently use Youtube. I would, however also like to give Soundcloud a go. A sighted friend is visiting tomorrow, so I will give it a go then. All the best, Kevin
