#FOWC. Condone. The Washing Machine and the River

FOWC with Fandango — Condone

“I cannot CONDONE this behaviour,” the Deaconess shot out at Susie.

Susie shrank back into her place. A place of misery and dejection. She was afraid to go home. Her mother had just plunged her head into the water in the washing machine. She tried to tell the tale. But no one would listen.

“You’re not a Christian,” the Deaconess shot out again.

The words landed like bullets in Susie’s brain.

“You shouldn’t speak of your mother like that. Haven’t you heard? Honour your father and your mother?”

Susie walked away. She turned towards the river.
