I SEE THE BIRDS

A MINUTE POEM

A NEW FORM OF POTRY FOR ME FROM BRAD’S BLOG HERE:

I see the birds in willow tree
Singing so free
I too will sing
Then take the wing

I wish to fly to higher place
Give me the grace
To crush the  fears
Of all my years

Then soaring high up in the sky
I will pass by
Cast off my load
Gained on the road

  1. This is a perfect example of the form and beautifully written. You have held to the required iambic meter, which is often the trickiest part of any from with a required meter, but have kept your lines powerful, revealing, and genuine. It flows beautifully with a lyrical lilt in the phrasing. Had you written this before my post, I would have easily chosen this as a shining example for others to enjoy. Very well done, Lorraine! And thank you for mentioning my blog in your post. It is much appreciated.
