I had no idea some time ago that going blind could be so errrrm dark. I wrote in here that you can be legally blind but still have a very small amount of sight. I had no idea where I would end up. I have been shocked to end up in complete darkness. I see only a black card in front of me. It has been traumatic. I have been determined to try to see the positives init but I do have to admit that I can get pretty depressed at times and feeling hopeless. It has been a very steep learning curve and test of my will. I am not there yet.
Hugs Lorraine! I’m glad your trying to see the positives. Not an easy thing I know. xo

Darlin’, I can’t even imagine ~ and I have a pretty good imagination! Some things can never be accepted, they can only be lived with. I understand that much later we will see the perfection of the gifts they actually brought us ~ but for now it’s okay to just grieve. My heart goes out to you ❤️💕🌹

It is bloody awful, and we cannot pretend to imagine how bad it is. But some small comfort is that you inspire people with your determination, especially someone like me with failing eyesight, Glaucoma, and Cataracts. You shine a light for others to see, even if you cannot see that light yourself, dear Lorraine.
Best wishes, Pete. xx

Pete, thank you so much for this response your words moved me. I am sorry to hear about your own eyesight and let’s just hope that things do not deteriorate quickly for you xxx
