Anger
Filled his soul that day
As he wrestled with the paper
Why was his name not there?
By now he should have been famous
“You’ll see my name in lights”
He had said to her
As she bid him Goodbye
Pacing the floor of the hotel
He turned
And saw her standing there
Looking achingly at him
“I see no lights”
She said
“But I see the light in your eyes”
And with those words
The seal was set
