HELP PLEASE

Oh dear I’ve made a mess! I was looking at Referrers, below the counties where viewers had come from, and there was one that said “reader” and another below it that said, I THINK, google.com but can’t remember for sure. I accidentally clicked on 3 dots, and ended up putting those Google viewers into spam. HELP. I didn’t want to put ANYBODY into Spam. Please help me to get them out.

  1. You can restore them from the spam folder. You can select an option (within the folder) called ‘No Spam’ 😊 Sometimes I get comments going straight into my spam folder and I don’t see them for ages!

    Thanks Secrets. It wasn’t Comments as far as I know. It was Referrers. Such as people vuewing me from the Reader. But below that was Googlemail. It has gone now though so I must have blocked people feading me from googlemail but I am not sure. How stupid can I be? Being blind doesn’t help either! Spits feathers! Lol

    I know lol. I just don’t want to have blocked any of my best friends from viewing my stuff. Not everyone comes via the Reader. Sigh.

  7. Oh yes, I’m with you now! OK. I’m only on my phone, but I’ll take a look around, Google some and let you know if I find anything which can help… Unless someone else has the answers already 😁

    If only looking at referrers part Lorraine then there is no option to block anything there. So you haven’t blocked anyone, as there’s nothing like that there.
    Only place you can block is via comments. But as already mentioned, you can unblock them from spam.

    Thanks Liz. There were three little dots close together and I accidentally clicked on them. It was below the countries info and when I clicked on those dots a message came up. I clicked on the message and then another message came up saying that those Referrers were now in spam. But I don’t know which spam folder they mean. All I know is that googlemail is no longer listed as a Referrer, with number of views on. The Reader Referrer is still there with number of views on but now, the googlemail one that was there earlier has disappeared.

    I am working from an iPad so don’t know if that makes any difference. But it was there and I got a message to say I had successfully blocked the Feferrer.

  25. Under “followers” on the WordPress Dashboard, there is an option to block (maybe delete) a follower. Other than this there is (so far as I am aware) only one other option, namely to spam or trash a comment. In terms of the latter (as already explained by others) one can unspam a comment. Sorry, if you have blocked a follower, then I’m not sure if you can unblock them. Perhaps raise a support request with WordPress. Apologies I can’t help here. Kevin

  34. All you have to do is move the email back to your regular mail folder and add the email address to your contacts. It happens all the time. No panicking! ❤️

  36. I saw your message and I answered it before I saw all the other comments WordPress takes a few to catch up with my phone app for some reason. I hope it’s all worked out but here’s a great website for you since you’re blind and you need to get a human being to help you sometimes- gethuman.com it’s got the phone numbers for companies that don’t want you calling and how to bypass the IVR (interactive voice response) and get a human to help you. Should anything like this happen in the future. I think it was a great idea to reach out to the WordPress tribe – it goes to show how many people love you!

  41. I have just checked mine and clicked on the 3 dots and its a spam option so it should show in your spam where you can unmark it as spam …I didn’t want to click it just in case it wasn’t in spam but as you have already clicked it then you will see if you go to your spam…Hope that helps 🙂
